I have much pleasure in providing this commendation of the
work provided by Pam Heath and her team from Classic Moves
on the occasion of my move from Classic Residences of
East Brighton to Rylands Kew in April 2007.
This was the first time I had moved house without the
assistance of my husband who died unexpectedly several
years prior to the move. As you can imagine it was a task I
approached with a great deal of trepidation and sadness.
It was a relief to find a brochure from Classic Moves included
in the package of paperwork provided by Rylands, a relief which
was heightened after a phone call from Pam Heath. She was so
calm and understanding that I immediately felt as if a great
weight was lifted from my shoulders. She paid me a visit and
assessed what needed to be packed, arranged the removalists
and we settled on a date.
I had nothing more to do as on the day, Pam's team, a delightful group
of very efficient ladies packed up the contents of my villa and supervised
the removal and unpacking at Rylands, needing the minimum of input from
myself. At the end of a long day I was well settled, all boxes unpacked and
taken away, bed made and we even had time for a cuppa before the ladies
and Pam left.
Since that time Pam has provided me with occassional help to unpack and tidy up
cupboards as I had far too many possessions to fit into a smaller house.
She has also rung me from time to time to check my well being. It was a wonderful,
friendly support which made my moving day almost enjoyable. I know Pam has moved other people into Rylands over the ensuing months and I have only heard commendations and praise from her clients.
If I ever have to move again, which I hope I do not, I would not hesitate to call for help from Pam Heath and Classic Moves

In early August '08 I moved here to Rylands. It was a difficult move as I lived outside the Melbourne area; I lived in a large house and I was very sad to leave. For the move I employed the services of Pam Heath and her team from Classic Moves. Pam was a help in very many ways and her experience and capability made a difficult time for me very much easier. Her team packed all my belongings very carefully and also unpacked them for me on the day of the move.

When I moved to Rylands Hawthorn in April this year it was with the help, provided in many different ways, by Pam Heath of Classic Moves and her dedicated team.
I first made contact with Pam about 8 months before my move, and just 2 months after major back surgery, and a plan was established for what seemed to me to be a mammoth task. Pam's network of contacts was invaluable to make clearance of the large family home efficient and the emotional and physical support provided by the whole team made the ultimate move straightforward.
By the time of the move she had helped me to clear the large family home, pack and arrange storage for items, arrange for items of different kinds to be sold, as well as teams to come in and pack carefully for me to move here. I came to know the women in her team well and found them to be friendly, reliable, trustworthy and helpful, as well as amazingly good at packing. The move was completed uneventfully with the team and Pam unpacking for me on that day.
My move was challenging for me as it encompassed the death of my husband, illness and major surgery for me, clearing and selling the family home after 30 years, as well as establishing a new home for me, all over the space of 14 months. These events take an emotional toll, and the thoughtfulness and understanding of Pam and her team were very important in helping me through that time.
In summary my move here was made very easy. I know that I could not have managed without the help of the Classic Moves service. I am grateful for the subsidy provided by Rylands to access this service, and have recommended Pam and Classic Moves to friends, whether moving to Rylands or needing other aspects of her service.

We first became aware of Classic Moves when we found their pamphlet when negotiating the purchase of our apartment. We contacted Pam Heath who visited us and assured us we could safely leave the move in her hands. She was as good as her word – her packers were delightful and efficient women – everything went like clockwork – within 24 hours we were comfortably installed – no worries re unpacking, or disposing of bones – all done.
