Rylands Management has been working with Pam Heath
of Classic Moves for the past 18 months in the process of
coordinating the move in our residents at the
Rylands of Kew facility.
We have found over this time that Pam has revolutionized the
very difficult process of moving aged and frail people from their
homes into facilities such as ours and residential
aged care facilities.
Our experience has shown that the actual moving process needs
to be handled very delicately and with great care and patience.
If the move is not handled correctly the whole process can seriously
destabilize the residents both mentally and physically, leading to a
difficult adjustment period and a much greater work load for staff
assisting in the settling in period.
Residents that have used the Classic Move services at Rylands have
benefited so greatly that we wish to further our relationship with Pam so
that all future residents can utilize her services. We are looking at this
because the quality of the service is so high and benefits to residents and our
organization are so great we think it should be an integral part of moving
into Rylands facilities.
We have learned a lot from Pam over this time and found her to be thoroughly
competent and has a particular love for what she is doing and for the people she
works for that makes her stand out quite starkly in this field.

Classic Moves have provided removal & packing services to many of our clients at Rylands of Kew and Rylands of Hawthorn independent retirement living complexes. All clients have experienced exemplary service and they have handled all jobs with great care and attention to detail. Pam Heath is very hands on and uses the same, consistent team for all Classic Moves services. Dear Pam,
We have had wonderful feedback from our clients who have availed themselves of your service and I wanted to thank you personally for the care and attention you have afforded them at what can be an extremely stressful and emotionally difficult transitional period.
Without exception, all of our new residents who have utilised Classic Moves for their relocation to our estate have expressed to me how easy the whole process was.
Interestingly, there has been little comment about the efficiency of your staff, the smooth way the whole process went or preblems involved in the move. What was commented upon was how lovely your team were throughout the packing and unpacking. That there was laughter and excitement in circumstances where there are often many tears and a great deal of anxiety.
Our Dutch lady could not get over the fact that while she had the day out with her family, your team packed up her old home, arranged all of her belongings inter her new home and were thouhtful enough to arrange a bowl of tullips on her table and turn back her bed. It took the stress not only form her but also from her family whom the burden would have fallen to.
The kindness you afforded our county gentleman, on what must have been an extremely difficult day for him, by staying with him long after the task of packing up his home was completed, until his family arrived late in the evening to be with him was very much appreciated.
It appears all the apprehension and insurmountable concerns were taken from them once they made the decision to put their move in your hands.
One of our clients, who are building with us are currently on a large property with an equally large home and many outbuildings and sheds – all of which need to be sorted, culled and packed. The prospect for them is daunting. They contacted me today (which has prompted my letter) to say they will be leaving all of this to you. I cannot believe the change in them both – it is like someone has taken a great weight off their shoulders.
Moving at any stage of life is extremely stressful. Deciding to do so in the later part of ones life, I believe, must be one of the most harrowing decisions to be made. The obstacles must appear to be overwhelming particularly the thought of wading through years of accumulation.
Without exceptions, all of our residents who have moved to our estate using Classic Moves have been delighted.
